About

Troy Shorewood Elementary School is home to approximately 350 students, with 65 teachers and staff serving students in grades Kindergarten through 4th Grade. Students pride themselves in persevering in their learning and working daily to be respectful, responsible, safe, and kind!

Along with rigorous academics, students have the opportunity to be a part of before and after school clubs that support social and emotional growth as well as academics. Some of the clubs available to our students include: Book Club, Art Club, Cheer Club, Drama Club, Yoga Club, Health Club, and Intramural Sports. In addition, 4th grade students have extra opportunities to participate in Choir, and they can grow their leadership skills by becoming one of our 4th grade ambassadors.

Troy Shorewood Elementary School opened in 1951 as the first school of the newly consolidated Troy CCSD 30-C, serving students in grades K-8. Over the years, the school has undergone several additions. Most recently, during the summer of 2021, the school underwent major renovations and updating.

Troy Shorewood Elementary School is steeped in family tradition. Many of our current school families and staff attended Shorewood when they were children and now their children are students in our school. It is a joy to open our doors to families at our many school events and see several generations of family members who currently attend or once attended our school, visiting and reminiscing about school then and now!
